Wood & Metal working: I have an old one room school house on our property which has been converted into a workshop. My son and I compete constantly for space. He works on his cars, and I putter around with the project of the day. The project of the day could be welding a broken part on a piece of equipment, making a table leg on the lathe, or one of many honey-do projects. My son and I like to tinker and make some of own stuff from scratch. It gives us something to do and keeps us out of trouble.

I don't have a favorite wood working site - yet. I get my ideas from the books I check out at the local library.

Reading Science Fiction has also been a favorite passtime.  One of my favorite books growing up was:

The movie had very little resemblance to the book. but microprose has put out a Starship Trooper Game . The demo wasn't too bad. So I bought the game and like it so far.

Traveller - a Role Playing Game from the 80's. My children have rediscovered this game and we play occasionally on the weekends.
