Thanks to Kristy Cottingim for being the team parent and helping to organize things off the court. It made my job a lot easier. Thanks to all the parents that helped with keeping the book and with stats.

Water Bottles - Please have your athlete bring a water bottle to all games. If is is a generic water bottle, put their initials on it. We don't have much time during timeouts and so this will save them from running to the water fountain.

Uniform Care

  • 1. Never place the uniform in a dryer. The letters and numbers can be heat sensitive. Let them air dry.
  • 2. Keep the uniform in the same place. At our house, we learned to hang up all uniforms in the same location every time. That way you are not frantically looking thru drawers, laundry hampers, or under the bed to find a game jersey.

Quote of the week: Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

Where to go from here? Those interested in getting better in the off season can check for AAU opportunities in the Spring. The Kingdom Sports Center webpage is listed and not only has AAU teams, but also has leagues in the offseason: AAU Also Miami University, University of Dayton, and Wright State generally have summer camps for students. Visit their websites for dates and prices. Some teams will attend as a group, if there is enough interest we can try to set something up.

Summer Camp Plan to have a junior high summer camp sometime in June. Details to follow.

South-Shawnee Summer League signups in April Had some folks from TVS contact me and ask if I was interested in a summer league for junior high and 5th/6th graders. We will be meeting soon about this. The last time we did this we played games on Sunday afternoons in June and had a tournament over a weekend in July.
