Summary:
Northridge hit 7 of 9 free throws in the 4th quarter to secure the SWBL Buckeye Division match-up.

Coach Meinking - “We didn't step on the court ready to play tonight. We dug ourselves a hole in the first half by not playing well. Thankfully Kari Thomas kept us in the ball game for the first half. Our play and effort improved in the second half but it wasn't enough.”

Dixie mounted a comeback in the 3rd quarter to pull within 1 going into the last quarter. The contest tightened in the 4th quarter with a couple of lead changes. However, Northridge hit 7 of 9 free throws in the final frame compared to 4 of 9 for Dixie.

Coach Meinking - “We outscored them from the field but not the free throw line. You have to hit your free throws especially late in the game and we didn't. Basketball is a game of 4 quarters and we didn't play 4 quarters tonight. But it's only the 2nd game of the season. We have to learn from it and move on.”
