October 29 Football Predictions:
Valley View hosts Oakwood. Valley View is smarting over their loss to Bellbrook last week. So Niswonger will have the troops fired up. Oakwood has a chance at making playoffs, so they have incentive to win. Valley View is most likely going to be out of the playoff picture for the first time in years. Oakwood can run the ball the well and will get their scores, but a determined Spartan team will prevail by at least a TD.
Brookville hosts Waynesville. Brookville comes into the game a decent running game and adequate passing attack. Waynesville is having a good season as well, both teams are tied for second in the division. Neither team has a chance at playoffs so they are playing for pride. Brookville would like to have sole possession of second. Look for Brookville to win this one by less than a TD.
Dixie at Northridge. This is the battle to stay out of the basement of the SWBL. Dixie has had some flashes where they have shown what they can do. Dixie needs to minimize their mistakes, score first, and put the Polar Bears on their heels. Northridge is just trying to survive the season. Look for Dixie to win by a TD or more.
Tri-County North at Covington. A difficult game to call. Covington seems to be self destructing in the second of the season, losing to Bradford last week. North has had some good games, but has been on a losing skid of their own. No chances at playoffs, the teams are playing for pride. This one is almost a coin flip, I'll take TCN by less than a TD.
TVS hosts Mississinnawa Valley. The Blackhawks are a bubble team for the playoffs. They lost to Anna last week and a victory at TVS will keep them in the hunt. TVS will need to stop running backs Harris and Moneysmith and need to generate yards from the pass. The Blackhawk defense is respectable, I think they will bend but not break. The Blackhawks by a TD or more.
