West Alexandria falls to Arcanum
J. C. Tilton

It has been a tough season for TVS and it did not get any easy on Friday night in Arcanum. In the first quarter TVS allowed 21 Trojan points. They settled down in the second quarter and played their best 8 minutes of the night. Holding the Trojans to no points and scoring on a Derek Smith to Anthony Armstrong pass to make it a 21-7 game at the break. The Panthers did have another scoring opportunity but threw an interception inside the 20 yard line. This put a scare into the Trojans as they went into the locker room. Coach Meyer remarked that the team was slow starting in the first quarter, but in the second quarter the team realized that they could play with Arcanum and stepped it up.

In the second half. The older (10 seniors and 11 juniors) and deeper Arcanum team wore down the young Panthers. They were able to platoon, while many of the Panther players had to go both ways. By the end of the game Arcanum had amassed a 48-7 lead.
