Football predictions October 24.
TCN at Covington. To have any hope at all at making the playoffs, North has to win this one. Wright will need to have the game of his career, or the season ends in Covington. The North defense will need to stop the running of Covington's 6'3” 195 pound McCord. It will be battle in the trenches, which line will be able holes for their respective running back? I give Covington the edge by a TD or less in a close, tough game.
Dixie hosts Northridge. It has been a tough season for the Polar Bears. Dixie has struggled, but several of their losses have been close games. Look for Dixie to put some points on the board as they win at home.
Valley View plays at Oakwood. The Jacks are having a good season. And the Spartans are coming off of a tough loss against Bellbrook. The Spartans backs are against the wall as they need every computer point they can muster to make the playoffs. Valley View wins the last game of the season and waits for the computer points to be posted on Tuesday.
Preble Shawnee hosts Bellbrook. Bellbrook has a fast paced attack that will keep Shawnee on their heels. Look for the Eagles to overwhelm the Arrows.
TVS at Mississiniwa Valley. The BlackHawks are playing good football this year, not good enough to be at the top of the league, but good enough to be in the middle of the CCC. A struggling South would like to end this season on a winning note and have something positive to look back on. The Hawks have a decent running game and are hitting hard on defense. And South has given up yardage against the run all season. The BlackHawks win by a TD.
Dixie vs. Carlisle game stats. Ethan Owens gained 40 yards, the lone Dixie TD was a 50 yard Chad Craft to Justin Garber pass. Conversion was a pass - Craft to Ben Spahr. Todd Mitchell lead the way on defense with 11 tackles.
