TVS Hammered by Rockets.
J. C. Tilton

TVS knew that they had their hands full with a visiting Anna team that has been wreaking havoc in the CCC. Since losing their opener to New Breman, they have torn thru the CCC winning lopsided victories each time. This Friday was no different with the TVS offense being overwhelmed and the defense unable to contain TJ Marks. By halftime Marks had almost 200 yards of offense in Anna's 42-0 first half effort.

South got a handful of first downs for the night, with the bulk of them occurring in the second half. There were only a few highlights in an otherwise dismal night. Chad Wentlender caught a long pass for a first down on a punt fake. Josh Flynn was able to connect a long pass with brother Justin Flynn in a diving catch that netted another first down. The Rockets did not turn down the heat as they would go on to score 71 points for the night. South will start the second half of the season against another winless team, Bradford, next Friday. But an ailing Panther team may have been hampered even more by injuries to Dustin Bassler (arm) and Anthony Armstrong (banged up an already sore shoulder). It is tough to bounce back after a loss like this, the Panthers will have get refocused this week.
