Week 6, Sept. 26 Football Predictions
TCN at Ansonia. The Tigers are having an off year this season. North is looking tough. Panthers should have an easy win here. But if they look ahead to the Arcanum game, don't be surprised if a well coached Ansonia doesn't hang around and make the game interesting.
Dixie at Middletown Madison. This should be a close game. Dixie's defense has been tough. If the offense can score behind the running of Todd Mitchell, they should do well. Dixie in a close one.
Valley View at West Milton. The Spartans are now playing against their league opponents in the SWBL Southwest Division. But the results will be the same. Spartans should take the Dogs.
Preble Shawnee hosts Eaton. Preble Shawnee's offense is one dimensional, but Eaton has a lot of weapons this year. Eaton quarterback Cristello has 4 years as a starter and he is running the offense well. Plus the Eaton defense has shown that it can hold it's own against some tough opponents, although they did breakdown against Carlisle. This game is a rivalry so the unexpected can happen, still the Eagles should prevail.
Twin Valley South at Bradford. It has been several years since Bradford has had a winning season. South's offense should be able to put some points on the board against the Bradford defense. Go with the Panthers.

Dixie quick stats for their win over Shawnee: Todd Mitchell was the leading
rusher for the team with 175 yards, and the leading tackler on defense is Heath Lukus. Punter Ryan Forte had a respectable 39.9 yards av. per kick. Quarterback Chad Craft threw for 32 yards and rushed for 56. Todd Mitchell was the leading ground gainer with 61 yards. Playing in front of the home town has been an advantage for the Hounds defense. According to Coach Bullock, “This is the second consecutive
shutout on our home field for the defense.” Also the defense scored on a fumble recovery returned for 46 yards.
