Panthers Are Ready to Run.

The Twin Valley South Cross Country runners are ready to run this fall. Coach Glen Mabry will have his hands full as he will be handling all boys and girls varsity and junior high teams. But this is old school to coach Mabry - he related how years ago that he had to do all 4 teams as well. It will be a challenge, but having experience will help. The varsity boys team is currently comprised of Dale Spitler, Adam Martin, Justin Stebbins, Andy Dawson, and Steven Taulbee. That is 5 runners - enough to score in meets, but no depth if there is injury or illness. On the plus side there are no seniors, so if all return next year they should have a stronger, more experienced team. Freshman Kelly Spitler is the sole runner for girls varsity. Coach Mabry is expecting to have full boys and girls teams for the junior high meets. Toughest competition in the CCC will be Franklin Monroe and Tri Village. The teams opened at Milton Union on Aug. 28 and will have a meet Sept 4 at Greenville.
