TVS Boys Third at Preble Shawnee Invitational

South had a good showing at the Preble Shawnee Invitational this past Thursday. They placed third. But could have done better. Two relay teams mishandled batons and were disqualified. Depending upon their finishes the team would have finished second, and maybe had a shot at first place if not for the miscues. The meet was won by Eaton with 73 points, Valley View had 63, then South with 61.5, Dixie was 5th with 46, TriVillage was 8th and TCN finished 13th.
Scoring for the Panthers was as follows: High Hurdles Betzner 1st 15.5,2nd in 300m hurdles 43.5; Jobe Hickey 100m dash 1st 11.5,5th in 300m hurdles 45.7; Drew Rivers 1st in 1600m 4:44, 2nd in 800m 2:06; Donaldson 6th in 400m 56.1; 1600X4 relay 3rd 3:49. Jobe Hickey, Donaldson, Rivers, Auspaugh,; Chad Wentlander 4th in long jump 18'6"; Nuse 5th in High Jump 5'3"; Jessie Simpson and Ray Buchanon scored in the discus and shotput.
